With Lake Erie nearly frozen over the Bald Eagles are again collecting around the Nanticoke Hydro Plant with there being warm open water from the discharge from the plant. A quick driveby at noon today produced 5 eagles perched in the "eagle tree" on the south side of Reg. Rd. #3 about 1/2 km west of the Sandusk Rd. Another 3 were flying over the open water east of the plant off Lakeshore Rd.
