Over 20 enthusiasts met for the annual Durham Field Naturalists Bird Feeder
Tour along the roads radiating out from the Westney Rd.-conc.7 corner.
Highlights-- 2 Red-bellied Woodpeckers- 1 along the 16th Sdln., (1 east of
Brock Rd. in Pickering), a deadend road running south from conc.5, the other
in a backyard on Westney Rd.(ask me for directions), Brown Creeper along the
12th Sdln., just south of Conc.7; Snow Buntings in the snowy fields east and
west of Mt.Zion Church at Conc. 8 and 6th Sdln.; Purple Finches at several
locales, N.Shrike along the 4th Sdln. south of Conc.9; and 27 other bird
species.
