I have just returned from seeing a Long Earred Owl at Humber Bay Park East. Seen Jan 1st, 2004 around 10-10:30 AM. It is roosting in a small stand of pine trees at the etreme western end of the park, just boardering the channel between East and West parks. Walk past the largest duck and boat pond along the path heading out to the point (across from the police bay on the West side). It was roosting in a pine about 15-20 feet up. The tree is along the paved path and the owl is facing south-east (also the path). It was also observed by Jean Irons and Kevin McLaughlin through thier scopes.

Humber Bay Park East is located at the foot of Park Lawn, just south of the QEW, in Etobicoke.
