Today was a great day for Kingston birdwatching. My dad, Paul Appleman,
fiancee, Adele Coull and I went to see the Rufous Hummingbird. We had
fantastic views at the feeder and in the cedar nearby. Thank you to Mr.
Sachs for the consistent updates and thank you to the Yendt's for their
hospitality.
After the hummingbird sighting we stopped at Amherst Island. We saw
many Long-eared Owls, but the woods were very active with people and the
owls were easily flushed. However, we did see 3 Northern Saw-Whet Owls,
which many know are more patient. All the owls were seen in the Owl
Woods. Thank you to all the helpful birders today.

Good Birding
