Hello Ontbirders
Yesterday, December 8th a Northern Hawk-Owl was observed at around
4:00pm along Clayton Road near Almonte, Ontario. The owl was reported to
me by Cliff Bennett.
Directions: From Ottawa take Hwy. 417 west of Kanata to the March Rd.
exit. Follow March Rd. to Almonte. Drive through the town to Hwy. 29 and
turn right and follow road to Clayton Road. Turn left and follow road to
Indian River Bridge. The owl was observed about 50m east of bridge
perching on the hydro pole. It hasn't been reported today.
