Hi everyone!
This frosty morning revealed a late BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER on south point
trail in Rondeau Provincial Park.
I heard the characteristic sound, then I watched it for a while. It
actually startled me, as it was right beside me when I was looking at a
Carolina Wren. It was in the phragmites along the beach, just past where
the trail breaks off at the washout. (Access south point trail via end of
Lakeshore Road).
There were fewer birds than yesterday, but it was nice morning with no wind.
No Redpolls today--they must have been on the move yesterday. One immature
Bald Eagle to note.
