About 4:15 p.m. today while birding with a friend, we found what we
believe to be an immature Trumpeter Swan near the old twin mast wreck at
the western end of the Beacon Marina at Jordan Harbour. This bird was
also there a week ago. After comparisons of immatures in a number of
bird guides as well as Sibley's we think that it is a Trumpeter. If
anyone else has seen this bird, please e-mail me directly to confirm
type.
Also seen in the marina today were COMMON MERGANSERS, BUFFLEHEADS,
CANADA GEESE AND GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULLS.

Directions: Take the QEW andturn off at the Victoria Ave., Vineland
exit. Go to the North Service Rd., turn right and proceed to the Beacon
Marina entrance to your left and go left to the dirt parking area near
the old wreck.
