By late morning the winds had lulled and then switched to light southeast. Overcast conditions would prevail as the day wore on. Observations: The count was started at Point Mouillee but with only one bird recorded by late morning, a switch was made to the boat launch for the remainder of the day. Here most of the flight was surprisingly to the north. As the heavier clouds rolled in during the early afternoon, the flight came to an abrupt halt and shut down the count early. At Point Mouillee, a Black Swan was seen flying with two Tundra Swans. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
