This is a copy of the Nov. 16, '03 KFN Phone Line script, with added detail
for locations:


                    PRINCE EDWARD POINT [page 35, quads G53, 53]

Nov. 14, 3 KFN Birders encountered 4 TURKEY VULTURES and a flight of HAWKS:
about 30 RED-TAILED, 2 ROUGH-LEGGED, 4 RED-SHOULDERED, 1 GOSHAWK, 1 COOPER'S
and a lone N. SHRIKE. Other notable sightings were a scruffy RED-THROATED
LOON in the harbour at the Point and a lone GR. YELLOWLEGS, several C.
REDPOLLS and 12 SNOW BUNTINGS were seen and/or heard. A HERMIT THRUSH and 2
FOX SPARROWS. Rafts of GREATER SCAUP were seen close to shore and others far
out (probably several thousand). I saw 2 HORNED GREBE and 1 RED-NECKED GREBE
and about 100 WHITE-WINGED SCOTER with many LONG-TAILED DUCK.

On Nov. 15 Paul Mackenzie and others found shorebirds: a few SANDERLINGS, 1
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and DUNLIN. There was no perceptible Hawk Flight.



CARTWRIGHT POINT [P36, D56], {page 48 & 49, quad N20 & M21}

At Oriole Lane in Cartwright Point East, on Nov. 16, Faith Avis had 4 PINE
SISKINS at her feeders.

A CAROLINA WREN was calling on Nov. 15 and the E. SCREECH OWL was seen in
the nesting box across the road from #3 Woodpecker Lane. The female
RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER continues for the 2nd week to visit our feeders @ 14
The Point Rd.
