Birders,
On Sunday I had a female Black-throated Blue at Malden
Park(Ojibway), and an Orange-crowned Warbler at
SpringGarden(Ojibway).
Species migrating past Holiday beach on Oct. 27 were:
Lapland Longspur 59
Snow Bunting 8
Am. Pipit 474
Yellow-rumped 36
Palm Warbler 1
E. Bluebird 18
Am. Robin 119
Purple Finch 42
Pine Siskin 6
Directions:
Drive west on the E.C. Row Expressway and exit at
Matchette Road. Turn left and drive past Armanda and
Broadway. Ojibway is on your right. Park in the lot
and
walk through the front gate down the bikepath to bird
the various parts of Ojibway Complex (Malden Park,
SpringGarden, Tallgrass, etc)
Drive west on the 401, and exit at Highway 77. Drive
south to Leamington and turn right at County Road 20.
Drive west to Malden Centre. At County Road 50 turn
left and go 2k south. Holiday Beach is on your right.
