Hi All After spending the day at Point Pelee I stopped in Wheatly at 5pm and finally found the Glossy Ibis amongst about 75 Canada Geese on the mud flats near the end of Pier Road.
A few of the birds we saw at Pelee, 6 Purple finches at the campgrounds, numerous Yellow Rumped Warblers, Golden and Ruby Crowned Kinglets at the tip. As well, 2 Blue headed Vireos (tip, campground), Red Eye Vireo (tip), Hermit Thrushes (Campground), Bay Breasted Warbler (tip). Good Birding, Ellen Smout London, Ont. Directions: From the Talbot Trail, in Wheatley, go south on Erie Street to Middleton Line, which is just before the Water Tower on the left side of the road. There is a small amount of construction on this road. Make a quick right onto Pier Road and follow it south. Go until you can see the river & mud flats in behind the houses and the Canada Geese! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
