Hi Birders, After a successful day at Hawk Cliff, I stopped at Rondeau on the way home. While driving up Kent Rd. 15 I spotted a strange bird on the hydro wire, and I knew it was good. I turned around and went back and was happy to see a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER. This was a young bird with fairly short tail and subtle plumage. Pictures were taken later by Keith Burk. The time was a little before 5 p.m.
Directions: Exit hwy 401 at exit 101 onto Chatham-Kent Rd. 15 south. Travel to its almost southerly end well before the turn into the park at Bate's Marsh. The bird was near house no. 18288 on the westerly side. It could end up at Keith McLean's which on the other side of the road just a bit north of this location. ________________________________ Blake A. Mann Wallaceburg, Chatham-Kent, Ont.
