There was only an occasional sprinkle in the afternoon although it gave the appearance of impending rain on several occasions. Observations: The wind factor was enough to push some birds over the lake and Point Mouillee was used during several hours at midday. However, the majority of the flight was over the boat launch with groups of Broad-wings still coming through in considerable numbers into the early evening. One group of about 200 Broad-wings during mid afternoon held a dark morph Swainsons Hawk, the fourth tallied for the season. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
