Weather:
Today saw progressively heavier cloud cover with occasional drizzle,
showers and even sunny breaks in mid afternoon. Winds were from the west
and variable in intensity, usually picking up just before the intermittent
showers.

Observations:
The flight was spread out, as is typically with west winds. The unstable
weather was actually a blessing as it often brought birds low over the
count area. One kettle of Broad-wings was noted dropping directly out of a
low cloudbank when they would have been missed otherwise. The flight
overall was steady from start to finish if not heavy with one of the
better Sharp-shin movements so far along with continued good showings from
Merlins and Peregrines.

An additional observation of note was of a single Common Nighthawk just
before the heavier showers in mid afternoon.
