Winds were moderate to fairly strong out of the west. Observations: As is typically with west winds, the flight was spread out over the entire sky but much of it was over the count area. Many of those assembled were able to enjoy stream after stream of Broad-wings overhead, some high, but many at much lower altitudes. The movement continued into the early evening with many birds dropping down to the north, presumably where they will roost for the night. It will be interesting to see if there is any substantial lift off early in the day tomorrow. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
