Hi All Another trip along the shore between Port Elgin and Southampton produced some interesting birds this afternoon, the least of which was the 2 Long bIlled Dowitcher which were seen on Mirimichi Bay. The two birds were very coperative as they moved closer to the shore giving me clear views of them. Also present were 3 - Black bellied Plover, 2 - Kildeer, 3 - Semipalmated Plover 3 - Greater Yellowlegs 20 - Double Crested Cormorants 300 - 400 Canada Geese 100 or so Gullls both Herring and Ring Billed approx. 40 Mallards 5 - American Goldfinch feeding along the shore To get to Mirimichi Bay take the 10th Conc. of Saugeen west from Hwy 21 between Port Elgin and Southampton. Turn right at the first intersection and tarvel a short distance along the road to Mirimichi Bay. The road winds around the bay. The second bay is Horseshoe Bay. You can see Chantry Island in the Back ground. Yours in Birding Mike Pickup [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Mike Pickup" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
