Peter Yoerg asked me to post his sightings from Wednesday, August 27. He had 18 species of shorebirds from Rock Point to Fort Erie.
Rock Point Prov. Park - 15 species of shorebirds including a WESTERN SANDPIPER a little east of the park. This bird was seen from private property but may venture into the park. At the turf farms along the feeder canal road (a couple kilometers east of Stromness) there were 75 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS. At the Poth Road turf farms just east of Reg. Road #3 (south of Dunnville), there were 7 species of shorebirds including 3 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS and 3-4 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS. Good birding!
