COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were seen over Burlington, the Dundas Valley, and your reporter's yard in east Hamilton. Shorebirds continue to be seen with some regularity. WILSON'S PHALAROPE, RUDDY TURNSTONE, LESSER YELLOWLEGS, SANDERLING, and SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER were reported from the Grimsby Sewage Lagoons, and a trip to the north shore of Lake Erie yielded 12 species including WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER and SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER at Grabell Point, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER at Morgan's Point, and a pair of GREAT EGRETS at Stonemill Road. Last but not least, highlights of banding at Selkirk Provincial Park this past week were a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER and a NORTHERN HARRIER. That's all for now, be sure to let us know about your sightings. Leave your name, telephone number, as well as the time and date of your call. Sightings can also be reported by e-mail. GOOD BIRDING!
