Rayfield Pye conducted a superb OFO outing on Aug.17--I stayed with it for 5 of the stops between the ASjax waterfront tail and Sobey's pool in Whitby. Some highlights were: Hydro Marsh-4 Swallow species, 1 Osprey and Baltimore Oriole; along the Ajax waterfront trail--Black-billed Cuckoo,Rose-breasted Grosbeak,White-breasted Nuthatch,Chestnut-sided Warbler,Warbling Vireos; Cranberry south marsh-2 immature SORAs, Virginia Rail,Marsh Wren,Solitary Sandpiper; Cranberry Marsh east side--N.Harrier,Cooper's hawk,Ruddy Ducks,Coots, C.Yellowthroat,2 Oaspreys(1 with fish) and at Sobey's pool--4 Greater Yellowlegs,Semipal.Plovers, Semipal. Sandpipers,Kestrel.
