Hi Ontbirders, Maureen Riggs and I conducted the weekly IBA shorebird survey today finding 147 birds of 8 species. It seems that most birds present now are different from the 300-400 birds here earlier in the week. The majority were feeding on the algae flats off Beach 3 and 4, and for the first time this fall several dozen birds were visible feeding on the gravel spit on Gull Island which faces Owen Pt.
