Hey, It has been another productive weekend for atlassing in the Novar - Sprucedale - Huntsville area, here in northern Muskoka and southern Parry Sound.
Highlights: GREEN HERON - 20 June - Yearly Road, 500 m S of Second Ave. (10 km S of Sprucedale) SANDHILL CRANE - 22 June - pair on private land, 1 km NW of the Green Heron BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO - 22 June - Fisher Creek Road at Bittern Creek (3 km W of Buck Lake) BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER - 21 June - Old Aspdin Road Tamarack Swamp (3 km SE of Aspdin) RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET - 22 June - Old Novar Road, 1 km E of Bittern Creek (2 km E of Buck Lake) LINCOLN'S SPARROW - 22 June - Hwy. 518, 3.5 km E of Sprucedale American Bitterns, Olive-sided and Yellow-bellied Flycachers continue to be found throughout the area wherever there is suitable habitat.
