At 9:05am, Thursday, June 19th, 2003, this is the
Hamilton Naturalists' Club Birding Hotline Report. The
Hotline is normally revised on Thursday nights, unless
an unusual bird turns up in the Hamilton area.

During a trip to the RBG Arboretum, observers were
rewarded with excellent views of a singing male HOODED
WARBLER. Male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS and INDIGO
BUNTINGS were also seen in this area, making for a
colourful display of yellow, red, black and blue.
Elsewhere, atlassing in the Ancaster area produced
ACADIAN FLYCATCHER, SCARLET TANAGER, INDIGO BUNTING,
CHESNUT-SIDED WARBLER, and TURKEY VULTURE.

Other local reports include BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO and
BOBOLINK between the 17km and 18km marks on the
Jerseyville Rail Trail, SEDGE WREN and ORCHARD ORIOLE
near Bronte Provincial Park, 12 RED-THROATED LOONS and

the intersection of 5th Avenue and 3rd Street in
