Birders who were on the OFO Rainy River Birding Tour at the end of May will be interested to know the Piping Plover seen was banded as a chick in mid 2001 at the Platte River area of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore on Lake Michigan. Birds and birders do get around. I will let you all know if the bird found a mate and nested.
