This afternoon after a day of birding on the lower Bruce Peninsula I went to
check for the Snowy Egret which had not been seen for a couple of days. It
was located again in the same area at Horseshoe Bay, and on Mirimichi Bay
there was a flock of about 100 Dunlin and 6 Semi Palmated Plover. This seems
to be the start of the shorebird migration around Port Elgin and Southampton
