Today, at about 10:45 a.m., I found an Acadian
Flycatcher at the Little River site in east Windsor.
It was foraging high in the canopy of the small grove
along the Ganatchio Trail midway between the toboggan
hill and John's Pond. Warbler activity has diminished
quite a bit, but good numbers and variety are still
present.
Is it just me or does there seem to be more
Acadians around this spring?
The Little River/Ganatchio Trail site is best
accessed from Little River Road and Riverdale. Drive
east over the bridge, park in the lot adjacent to the
hill, and follow the paved path south to where the
trees are most numerous.
