A glorious, albeit a little cool, morning brought many birders and some excellent birds into scattered pockets along the roadside and within the woods of Thickson's Woods in southeast Whitby, ON, on Saturday May 17 AM. There were 19 WARBLER species noted-- Ovenbird-4, Black-throated Green-5, Black-throated Blue-10, C.Yellowthroat-2, Yellow-rumped-12, Yellow-5, Chestnut-sided-6, Black-&-White-4, Palm-1. Pine-1, Nashville-2, Tennessee-1, N.Parula-2, Blackburnian-2, Bay-breasted-2, Magnolia-20, Am.Redstart-8, Canada-1, Cape May-1 Others included: Red-eyed Vireo-1 Philadelphia Vireo-2 Blue-headed V.-2 Warbling V.-1 YELLOW-THROATED VIREO-1 Wood Thrush-5 Swainson's Thrush-1 Veery-3 Brown Thrasher-1 Baltimore Oriole-3 ORCHARD ORIOLE-1 Lincoln's Sparrow-1 Blue-grey Gnatcatcher-2 Cedar Waxwing-2 Least Flycatcher-3
