The male Ruff was still present at the Embrun Sewage Lagoons at 7:00 this morning (May 12). It was precisely where Roger Clark described yesterday evening in his report to Ontbirds - on the the north shore of the north-east cell. It was foraging at the edge of the water together with several Lesser Yellowlegs. It flew out over the cell with the Yellowlegs several times, and kept returning to the same spot. When the rain started, the Ruff disappeared in the low shrubs bordering the lagoon and did not come out again while I was there.
