My girlfriend, Adele Coull and I, Kurt Appleman, took a trip to Prince Edward Point. There was a lot of bird activity but mostly common species. Plenty of YELLOW and YELLOW-RUMPED warblers. There were also AMERICAN REDSTART, BLACK AND WHITE, NASHVILLE, BLACK THROATED GREEN, PALM, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT and OVENBIRD. There was also a CERULEAN reported by the banding volunteers but we missed it. We also saw WARBLING, BLUE HEADED and the highlight a WHITE EYED VIREO near the end of Traverse point. Other species included the following: EASTERN TOWHEE, SCARLET TANAGER, GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER, GADWALL, BALTIMORE ORIOLE, INDIGO BUNTING, WOOD THRUSH, CEDAR WAXWINGS and BOBOLINK.
Directions: exit hwy 401 at Wooler Rd. and follow until you get to hwy 33 and follow it right. Turn left onto county road 1 by Consecon and follow until you reach county road 10, turn right. Follow county road 10 until you reach county road 9, a right turn in Milford, this takes you right to the point. Kurt Appleman & Adele Coull Good Birding!
