On Friday, May 9th, a good variety of songbirds were
present along the Thames River floodplain trail, which
runs roughly east-west along the north edge of this
ESA.  Highlights include the following:

Great-crested Flycatcher
White-breasted Nutchatch
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Swainson's Thrush
Nashville Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Palm Warbler
Black and White Warbler
Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Meadowlilly Woods can be reached by taking the 401 to
Airport Road (Exit #194).  Follow Airport Rd. north
and turn Left (west) onto Commissioner's Rd (2nd
light).  Drive about 1 km west (up the moraine) and
watch for the ESA on the north side of Commissioner's
Rd.
