Just got up, after working nightshift, and discovered a Scarlet Tanager in my front yard. It is still there.......appears to be checking out the territory. I've never seen one this far north before.
My front yard is on the Gilford Rd., approx. 1 mile east of Yonge St. on the south side. Gilford is approx. 8 miles north of Bradford, in the Town of Innisfil. He wasn't singing or anything, so may just be passing through. Made my day!!
