Hi Birders; Today, April 29 a few new birds arrived at Bronte as well as increased numbers of more common species. At Shell Park were Black-throat. Green Warbler, Orange -crown. Warbler, Palm Warbler. At Bronte Harbour an early Red-eyed Vireo. The lake off Bronte Harbour produced a 2nd winter Glaucous Gull harrassing the many hundreds of Double-crested Cormorants and a pair of Common Terns. Nearby at Bronte Marsh was a Green Heron, a pair of Shovelers and a Blue-wing. Teal. Good Birding. Directions; Bronte is situated in south-west Oakville, accessed easily by the QEW or Lakeshore Rd. (Hwy #2). Shell Park; take the QEW to the Burloak Drive exit, turn south toward the lake all the way to Lakeshore Rd., turn left and the park is about 2 kilometers on the left. Bronte Harbour; take the QEW to Bronte Rd. exit, go south toward the lake to Lakeshore Rd. Turn right and cross the bridge (Bronte Creek). The first right will tke you to the Marsh.
