At 1730 hrs there were over 100 Black-Crowned night Herons roosted just
above the Falls.  They were in the willows near the old barge, perhaps 200
metres upriver from the brink.  Some were building nests.
Other Niagara River Species:  Horned Grebe, Red-Necked Grebe,Gadwall,
Mallard, Long-Tailed, Redhead, Greater Scaup, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead,
3 Merganser species.
Also,  Bald Eagle on Navy Island, visible from the bridge on the Chippewa
River. (with a scope).
