Hello all,

Albert Boisvert and I went owling last night. Not much luck there, only 2
SCREECH OWLS on Cameron Rd. near the Murray Marsh area, but about 8:15 pm
we saw a bird fluttering along the side of the Murray-Harrington Road in the
headlights of the car. We stopped quite close to it and saw an AMERICAN
WOODCOCK foraging on the shoulder of the road. The road and shoulders were
clear of snow, but the woods and fields are still covered.

Directions:

Murray-Harrington Road: Go north of hwy 401 on County Rd. 40 (Wooler Road)
to Downs Rd. Turn right on Downs Road and go approx. 2 - 3 km to
Murray-Harrington Rd. The bird was seen just past the gas pipeline crossing
on Murray-Harrington Rd.

Murray Marsh Area: Go north of Hwy 401 on County Rd. 30 past Codrington to
Goodfellow Road. Turn right and travel 2 km. to Cameron Rd. S. on Cameron
Rd. about 3 km.
