Coyote Pond, frozen and barren of life Sunday morning, had open water by 5pm where 4 Hooded mergansers slept among an active bunch of Mallards & Black ducks. Four killdeers flew overhead, redwinged blackbirds were on site, an Eastern meadowlark sang and a Redtailed hawk hunted the back forty.
Coyote Pond lies 1 km East of the Ninth Line on the North side of Hwy 7 in Markham. Stan Long <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
