at 7am this morning.
Local Northern Mockingbird chasing robins off it's favourite rose bush
New Arrivals: Northern Flicker (1), Song Sparrows(2), lots of singing
Red-winged blackbirds(30+), Brown-headed Cowbirds(9) Eastern Meadowlarks(2)

Lake Ontario between Oshawa Harbour and Darlington Provincial Park
Small numbers of Redheads, Common Mergansers, and White-winged Scoters
Hundreds of Greater Scaups and Common Goldeneyes
Glaucous Gull (1 imm)
Also a visible migration of alot of newly arrived Ring-billed Gulls and
Herring Gulls.

White-throated Sparrow (1) first time seen this winter.

Directions

To Oshawa Second marsh/ McLaughlin reserve

Directions: Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit in Oshawa. Go
south to Colonel Sam Drive. Go east on Colonel Sam Drive to the parking lot
at the GM. Headquarters. Park in the nw parking lot closet to the marsh. The
east platform is located here. To see the Lake Ontario waterbirds  proceed
along the path from the parking lot south to the lakeshore.
