march 9, 2003 - 12. noon

Today the shoreline/marina/sammon fishing station frozen almost out
to the breakwall, in the open area, there appears to be four
bufflehead, on the shore at the water edge several people feeding
dozens of mallards and Canada Geese. Although I still do not know
what kind of swans the six are still there in the open water, two
curled up asleep on the ice. I am greatful to Bev. who advised
that the ones with numbers are Trumpeter Swans, and wish to advise
the tags are yellow with black number the only numbers I could see
were #731, #732 and #744. Hope this is helpful to you, Thank you all.
Laur.
