Thanks to Mark Cranford for allowing this posting.

Yesterday a long time member of the Hamilton birding community, Alf Epp
passed away in his 95th year. Alf was a member of the Hamilton Naturalists
Club and a huge contributor to birding in this area. Although I didn't
have the pleasure of meeting him, his friend Jim Cram informed me that he
was well known in the birding community throughout Ontario. His
contributions to Hamilton birding records and studies is a testament to his
skill in this sport. He will be missed by our Hamilton birders.

Information will be available in the Hamilton Spectator tomorrow. If there
are any questions, please email me privately.
