Today at 5 pm while driving home from Amherst Island Joyce spotted a NORTHERN HAWK OWL in a tree alongside the road. The bird was very close to Perth Road School, where a Northern Hawk Owl was seen for several days in mid-December. Perhaps this is the same bird. We watched it for a few minutes and then it flew westward.
Directions: From Highway 401 at Kingston take country road 10 (exit 617) north towards Westport for about 20 kms.
