Over the past 3-4 weeks we have had a male Eastern Towhee ground-feeding > in our side yard, which has the protection of a 6 1/2 foot cedar hedge. > It was here again today, Wed. 5/03 at 10-11 AM. It made another > appearance at 12 noon, along with the female. Both are great to see > (brown & Black) against the white snow background. They are accompanied > by a variety of other birds, Juncos, Hairy and Downey Woodpeckers, Blue > Jays, House Sparrows, Cardinals, both Nuthatches, Red & White-Breasted, > Chickadees and House Sparrows.
