Happy New Year to all!
2 Greater White-fronted Geese are among the many Canadas in Cobourg harbour
this morning, January 1st.
An adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Thayer's gull, and a few Glaucous and
Iceland are visiting the harbour intermittently but seem to need ice to
stand on and there isn't much established ice yet, but check the northeast
corner of the harbour, just at the start of the east pier.
No shorebirds around unfortunately.

To reach Cobourg harbour leave Hwy.401 at Division Street, Exit 474, and
drive south to the lake on Division Street which continues as the east pier
of the harbour. The western part of the harbour is easily accessed by
perimeter roads (this makes it sound very grand) and there is plenty of
parking.
