Dear All The Barwale Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is planning to conduct a four day training program on “Marker Assisted Selection for Biotic and Abiotic Stresses” at its knowledge & study centre, Jalna, from 26th -29th April, 2011. This course enables the plant breeders and biotechnologists in gaining insight into the molecular breeding of crops. Theme 1:MAS for biotic stresses includes the application of molecular markers for improving traits associated with disease and pest resistance. Theme 2:MAS for abiotic stress tolerance through foreground selection for presence of desired genomic region/s conferring tolerance to drought with linked molecular markers.
