The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is a newly established institution of education, training and research in the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the auspices of UNESCO. RCB is designed to be a centre of excellence in biotechnology with intimate contributions from the countries of the region and academic institutions from the rest of the world. It provides a meeting place where innovation, enterprise and industrial development will germinate.
Applications are invited from post-graduate candidates who have obtained M.Sc. in any discipline of the sciences/M.B.B.S./M.Pharma./ M.Tech./M.V.Sc., to work under the mentorship of its faculty as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) leading to a Ph.D. degree. Candidates should have intense interest to work at the interface of multiple disciplines in the areas related (but not limited) to structural, systems, and chemical biology biomaterials and nano science and technology, cellular and molecular biology, and disease biology and drug discovery. The fellowship is initially tenable for the duration of two years, and is extendable for three additional years for Senior Research Fellowship after a review. The candidates who have completed their M.Sc. within past two years and have scored 60% or more marks in their graduate and post-graduate degree examinations are eligible to apply.
