NBAIM invites applications from scientists, technical officers, research scholars, post-docs and students of universities/institutes/ organizations for the National training programme on ‘Metagenomics: Method and Applications in Microbiology’ to be held from 11–20 January 2011.
The training programme is designed to provide an insight of metagenomics. The training will improve skill of participants and familiarize the participants to metagenomic approach to microbial diversity and community analysis, designing of primers and validation, cloning, screening and restriction analysis of metagenome, in silico restriction analysis, multiple sequence alignment, sequence data analysis, comparative genomics. The training will bring scientists and research workers at a common platform to exchange experiences and will be helpful in upgrading research and teaching. The training programme will consist of hands-on research experience, training and exposure to cutting edge research.
