Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) has been established by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology (Government of India) as an autonomous institution, as part of the interdisciplinary Health Biotech Science cluster, located at Faridabad in the National Capital Region. The THSTI is designed to be a highly interactive organization with a mission to conduct innovative translational research and foster collaborations across disciplines and professions to accelerate the development of concepts into tangible products to improve human health. VIDRC is seeking applications from outstanding scientists with expertise in relevant areas of immunology, microbiology, virology, structural biology and systems biology. The Centre is particularly interested in recruiting individuals with interest and expertise in infectious diseases and public health, and those wanting to study human immune responses to infections and vaccines. Appointments are available at the Assistant to Full Professor level depending on the qualifications of the applicant. Candidates must have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree and a demonstrated record of productivity based on peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals of high international repute. The investigators will be provided laboratory space and adequate start-up resources. They are expected to generate extramural funding for their research programme. The permanent laboratories of VIDRC at Faridabad will be completed in the next three years.
