hai vazhvarasi, sequence analysis is the basic analytical tool used in bioinformatics, but it has diversified application. usually we start with allignment(pairwise or msa). as you are doing poster you take any sepcific protein or nucleotide sequence of interest (let it be something related to any disease or sequence which regulates some function). areas u can work with sequence alignment: Tools 1.u can do some alignment work or create a pattern .- blast or clustalx /w 2.with the generated pattern u can go for EST search - EST dadbase search 3.find some restriction sites(restriction site analysis) -neb cutter 4.identify gene using gene prediction tools - grail or genscan.
