CSIR/UGC LS is valid for life time. But, CSIR/UGC JRF is valid for 1yr. u have 2 join a lab within 6 months of getting CSIR/UGC JRF and get registrard within 1 yr of joining. If u get LS u r only eligible 4 getting lecturership or doing Ph.D. under any project. But if u r JRF u will get fellowship directly from CSIR/UGC. Please go to: csirhrdg.res.in
