hi @ neha...u r in 2nd sem right now means u can take d NET xam to be conductd in June dis year...it wud be active from Jan 2010 to Jan 2011...by then ul be done with ur MSc i suppose so u can get it activated if u qualify for JRF....so u can tk d exam ofcourse....u can apply in the RA category...dats result awaited...u can keep it on hold til u get ur final marksheet....
@ amogh...IFS means forest services...right? or foreign services...??well...for forest service usually a bsc grad with d subjects givn in d notificatn on UPSC website r reqd...if u hav had any of those subject combinatns durin ur degree period then ofcourse u can tk d exam....u have had biotechnology so im afraid if u can opt for forest service examinatn...bt ofcourse u can take IAS examiatn...if u wana go for forst service then u could continue in a master's degree in life sciences...or agricultural sciences... and...for foreign services...u jus need to be a grad with any recognised bachelors degree...
