hi all, good wishes. see IBT n Biotech r moreover same but IBT deals with some more bioprocess engineering skills n so. U n can get into the fermentation sector or pharma sector after M.Tech which has huge oppurtunities as most biotech companies r pharma oriented. Also u have to get an M.tech or can go for M.S n Ph.D after B.tech.... as a whole what i feel n have experienced whichever biotech sector it is wheteher plant or animal or industrial all requires skill of practical knowledge n for sure u'r project work gives u that wholesome experience n skills, so be careful in choosing u'r project work. as for after B.Tech u can go for GATE in IIT's n also M.tech in various univ's. regards, Krishnakumar.S.
