It seems we need to do something with regard to ReportingTools - this is a very popular and frequently used package. Anyone has a way to check in with some of the authors - seems that both Gabe Becker and Michael Lawrence are authors. The Bioconductor Team is continuing to identify packages that will be deprecated. The final list of deprecated package for 3.18 may be found at https://support.bioconductor.org/p/9152979/ It should be noted, we did try to reach out to the package maintainers as listed in the DESCRIPTION of the package multiple times and they were either unresponsive or had emails that bounced. We encourage anyone that is familiar with a package maintainer on the list to reach out to them directly. These packages can still be reinstated if they fix the ERROR before the 3.19 release in spring and request un-deprecation on this bioc-devel@r-project.org mailing list.
