Given all the questions on the Bioc Support forum, it would be timely to have guidance on the Bioconductor install page:
https://www.bioconductor.org/install/ for users with an M1-based Mac. As far as I know, there isn't any documentation alerting a beginner user that Bioconductor doesn't support the native M1 compilation of R.
